Throughout his career, Jo Christian has worked at the intersection of communication, media, finance, and business. Initially, he spent eight years as a journalist and head of the financial news room at Finansavisen, followed by 12 years as VP Head of Investor Relations (IR) at Schibsted ASA, where he also served as Board secretary. He has been a partner at Corporate Communications since 2019.
At Corporate Communications, Jo Christian is an advisor for Boards and executive management of a range of listed and private companies, focusing especially on optimizing their communication with and relationships to the financial market. This includes advise related to stock exchange rules and securities trading legislation. He has extensive experience from financial reporting, a significant number IPOs, organizing the IR function, private capital raisings, M&A, capital market days, shareholder activism, and financial PR. He also works as an outsourced IR officer for listed companies.
He holds a Bachelor degree in business from BI Norwegian Business School (“Siviløkonom”) and he is a certified financial analyst from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
Jo Christian describes himself as a news junkie, interested in society, politics, and business. He loves the conversations around the lunch table at Corporate Communications. He has always been a media man with a passion for journalism, starting his career as a freelance journalist in the local newspaper at the age of 15. To re-experience the thrill of journalism, he regularly tries to watch the Watergate movie “All the President’s Men.”
