With over two decades of international experience from the private, public and non-profit sector, Marianne works with a comprehensive range of communication services, specialising in corporate communications, investor relations, media relations, public affairs and sustainability.
Marianne came to Corporate Communications in 2020 from the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Aker Property Group AS. She has previously served as Director of Investor Relations at Aker ASA, Director of Global Engagement and Communications at the EAT Foundation, Communications Director at Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), and Communications Officer at the World Bank in Washington DC. She sits on the Sustainability Advisory Board of Codex Advokat.
Marianne has 10 years of experience as a journalist and editor, notably from The Daily Star in Lebanon, the BBC in London and Bloomberg News, where she was the Oslo bureau chief. As a former journalist, Marianne loves a great story and has penned speeches and op-eds for a number of high-profile business and non-profit leaders.
Marianne holds a BA in European studies from the London School of Economics and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, and an MA in international relations and economics from Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.
Marianne has a deep interest in financial news and international affairs, and indulges in daily doses of good literature. When she’s not working, she’s usually listening to a podcast or engrossed in a book.
