Magnus Nystrand is an advisor in Corporate Communications. He previously worked with foreign policy analysis and lobbying as advisor and intern at the International Law and Policy Institute. Nystrand has also led ICAN’s (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) disarmament campaign in Norway. In 2013 and 2014 he was chairman of the board of student welfare organisation Studentsamskipnaden in Oslo (SiO). At SiO he was responsible for the organisation’s board, director and public affairs work within housing, health, education and kindergarten policies towards Oslo city council and the Norwegian parliament. Nystrand has experience from the policy committee of the Labour Party’s youth organisation as well as several years’ experience as head of Norway’s largest student organisation, the Welfare Council of Oslo and Akershus. He has also spent four years as student politician at Nordland district county. Nystrand has a master’s degree in social science from the University of Oslo, has studied at U.C. Berkeley, USA, and has also received the E.ON Ruhrgas scholarship at Freie Universität, Berlin, Germany.
